The Benefits of a Rollator
A rollator is similar to a walker, but usually has additional features like a seat, wheels, basket, brakes, etc. While they can be more expensive then walkers, they also offer added convenience and are easier on users that have difficulty carrying weight, which can hasten fatigue. Our lightweight rollators are designed using sturdy, quality materials. They are also small and portable. Southeastern Medical Supply has two types of rollators:
3 Wheel Rollators are smaller and can maneuver better around tight space. Some people prefer them because they're less cumbersome then their 4 wheel counterparts, yet they don't generally have the same multifunctional use (e.g., seating, larger carry space).
4 Wheel Rollators are larger and allow for greater stability. If you live in a rural or agricultural area, or a place where there is a lot of grass and dirt, the stability of four rollator can be a plus. These also generally have a larger basket and can carry more items and usually also have a seat. At Southeastern, we sell mostly this type because of customer demand and satisfaction with these larger and more versatile models.
